Student/Parent/Teacher Compact

At Mount Mahogany Elementary, we believe it is our responsibility to work as a team to prepare each student to become a knowledgeable and productive citizen of the community, state and nation.

We feel that this can best be accomplished by working cooperatively in a home and school partnership which will challenge and motivate each child to strive for his or her highest level of success.

We are committed to stimulating and motivating each student to become the best that he or she can be.

To accomplish this goal, parents, teachers and students must work together.

Listed below are the responsibilities each participant has in achieving these goals.


Parent/Guardian Checklist

It is my responsibility to:

  • Provide my child with the proper nutrition, rest, hygiene, clothing, and positive support to be successful in school.
  • Set aside a time each evening for school work.
  • Provide a quiet place to accomplish school work.
  • Read daily with and to my child.
  • Supervise the completion of his/her homework.
  • Attend SEP conference
Student Checklist

It is my responsibility to:

  • Respect myself, others and the property of others.
  • Follow the rules of my classroom.
  • Follow the rules of my school.
  • Complete my class and homework assignments to the best of my ability.
  • Ask my teacher and/or my parents for help with assignments when needed.
  • Be at school on time and prepared.
Teacher Checklist

It is my responsibility to:

  • Provide a caring learning environment where each child feels safe, accepted
    and able to learn.
  • Provide a rich and challenging curriculum which will interest and motivate each student.
  • Keep parents informed of the student's progress on a regular basis.
  • Provide homework which is clear, concise and meaningful.
  • Be available to students and parents to provide help and answer questions.
  • Provide specific, meaningful and concise information about the student's
    progress at each SEP.
